The Business

Supervan Moves began trading in Stourbridge in May 2007 as an Express Courier Service to cater for local businesses. The client base ranges from steel foundries and petrochemical engineering firms, to foam filler manufacturers, and to solicitor’s legal documents. Supervan Moves offers a dedicated express transport service in the region, the UK & Europe.

The People

Emmanuel Grigoriou is the founder and Managing Director of Supervan Moves, taking pride in the business and with a top-priority to deliver excellent customer service for each and every individual consignment.

Emmanuel was born and educated in Greece until the age of 15, when he moved to the Uk.  In the year 2000, he completed 12 months National Service in the Greek Army, where he learned the basics of military logistics.

The First “Supervan”!

The name ‘Supervan Moves’ was inspired by the colour of the original van (Superman blue!) and from the seemingly deceiving capacity of goods that could be loaded in the little van!

The ‘Supervan’ was a 1988 970cc Hermes blue Bedford Rascal, which was originally used to carry equipment and parts when Emmanuel was restoring a classic car in 2004. The ‘little Rascal’ was the first vehicle used in the business and had a payload of 500kgs. Today the Supervan has been replaced with modern and purposely built vehicles, though the trading name ‘Supervan Moves’ remains.

Why… ?

Emmanuel’s interest in engineering and automotive technology places a bond between his work and leisure interests. Since many of his customers are in one way or another involved in this sector, Emmanuel gets a bird’s eye view of the innovations and masterpieces this industry produces – and thoroughly enjoys the involvement.

His goal for SuperVan Moves is that it becomes the best courier service of it’s kind in the West Midlands – and feedback in the form of testimonials from regular customers seems to indicate that this goal can be achieved!
